The United Way of El Paso County is now seeking Loaned Executives (LE) for the 2012 community fundraising campaign. A Loaned Executive is a volunteer or appointed employee who will assist United Way during the campaign months on either a part-time or full-time basis. The Loaned Executive program provides a great opportunity for employees at area companies to develop leadership skills, establish professional connections, and make a lasting investment in their community.
LEs help United Way reach new markets, broaden the base of community giving and strengthen United Way’s commitment to advance the common good through Education, Basic Needs, andIncome. Loaned Executives come to United Way from all sectors of the workforce, including corporate, management, sales, healthcare, organized labor, and non-profit organizations.
“The Loaned Executive Program is a special opportunity to reward and, more importantly, develop employees who want to make a meaningful impact in our community,” said Deborah Zuloaga, President and CEO of the United Way of El Paso County. “Program members will gain enhanced professional development including leadership, organizational, time management, and presentation skills.”
United Way has partnered with Patricia Gonzalez, owner of GAP Dynamics, LLC., to provide comprehensive professional development training for all of this year’s Loaned Executives. The program curriculum will emphasize the following core competencies:
- Leadership Influence
- Business Etiquette/Business Writing
- Team Building
- Sales/Public Presentations

This customized training is specially designed to serve the employees of the non-profit and business community, and address the core qualities needed for success.
