GECU Sets the Stage for Another Successful Year

Year after year, GECU demonstrates their continued commitment to the community through their support of the Community Impact Fund. Under the leadership of New CEO, Crystal Long, GECU has already started preparing for their workplace Giving campaign.

Marilyn Viera, Employee Campaign Coordinator (ECC) for GECU, recently attended an ECC Orientation hosted by Houchen Community Center. Participants of the orientation had the opportunity to learn the nuts and bolts of running a workplace giving campaign, followed by the opportunity to interact with the young participants of the United Way funded Early Childhood Development program.

The Houchen Early Childhood Development Program works  to improve school readiness and educational outcomes for children in the Segundo Barrio.

“It is an amazing experience to interact with the children the benefit from our contributions year after year.” – Marilyn Viera

With a longs history of strong leadership and a foundation of dedicated employees, GECU’s upcoming workplace giving campaign promises to be a huge success.
