El Paso young professionals group recruiting new members with tacky sweaters

TackysweaterIf you’re a young professional in El Paso looking to network with new people, become a better leader and volunteer in the community, you can start with a tacky sweater. Join in the fun at the United Way Young Leaders Society Holiday Mixer membership drive featuring the Tacky Sweater Contest on Wednesday, from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 19 at The Network, 317 E. Mills.

Actually, you don’t have to dress up for the occasion – participation in the sweater contest is optional – but you are encouraged to come out to support or mock your new friends! Door prizes will be given throughout the evening. The $40 event cost includes hors d’oeuvres, a complimentary adult beverage, entertainment, and your 2013 membership to the United Way Young Leaders Society.  An extended happy hour and cash bar will also be available. Tacky sweater contestants will be eligible for a grand prize.

This is a fun way to meet new people and make 2013 the year you become more involved with the community. The United Way Young Leaders Society engages young professionals in creating positive change for El Paso through community advocacy, volunteerism, leadership, and networking opportunities.

RSVP online before December 14th and receive the official LIVE UNITED T-shirt.
