The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) along with United Way of El Paso County (UWEPC), and other partners will conduct the 21st Annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive, the nation’s largest single-day food drive, on May 11, 2013. Locally, Stamp Out Hunger’s goal is to collect 100 million pounds of food for El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank (EPFHFB) to distribute to families in need in our community.
The NALC, UWEPC, EPFHFB, in collaboration with the National Rural Letter Carriers Association, the United States Postal Service, AFL-CIO, Teamsters, Yellow Roadway Corporation, Campbell’s Soup, Val-Pak, Uncle Bob’s Self-Storage, AARP, and Feeding America have joined in this effort.
More than 1 in 4 children and adults in El Paso are facing the problem of hunger. That’s more than 222,000 of our neighbors living in food insecure households.
With your generosity, we can alleviate hunger in the El Paso region. Simply leave your non-perishable food donation by your mailbox on Saturday, May 11, 2013 and help us Stamp Out Hunger.
