Last month, El Paso Target stores kicked off the 2013 Season of Giving.
Among the four area stores, Target employees have not only set a goal to contribute more than 1,000 volunteer hours to the El Paso community, but also donate $25,000 amongst the El Paso stores to the United Way worklplace giving campaign. This year, a traveling trophy has been introduced and will be awarded to the local store with the most participation and giving. Bragging rights come with the coveted award.
As we have all come to “Expect More” from Target, employees did not disappoint. Team members were energetic at presentations from 7:30 AM to midnight and did not hesitate to fill out their pledge cards. With that kind of enthusiasm, the campaign is off to a great start. To add even more excitement to the campaign, organizers have included drawings and special events like company car washes, where managers have volunteered to wash employees’ cars.
We would like to extend our thanks to the employee campaign coordinators at each location: Sunland Park: Chris Arteaga and Teresa Flores; Bassett Place: Jessica Ceniseros; George Dieter: Courtney Sisneros; and Joe Battle: Shalena Brown, Glorai Duran, and Megan Hulse. Thank you to these fabulous coordinators who work hard to make the campaign a success!
